Retail Billing Software using Python
The Smart Trolley Smart Cart System leverages IoT technology to revolutionize the shopping experience by automating product tracking and checkout processes. Inspired by the Amazon Go concept, this system integrates RFID tags on products and unique QR codes on shopping baskets to create a seamless, efficient shopping journey. When a customer picks a basket and scans the QR code using an Android application, the system links the basket to the user’s account. As items are placed in the basket, RFID readers automatically detect the tags and update the user’s cart in real-time. Upon finishing their shopping, customers can review their items and proceed to checkout through the application.
An additional feature of this project is a secure locker system for tobacco products. Each locker is equipped with a QR code that, when scanned by the Android application, verifies the user’s age. Only users aged 18 and above can access the locker, ensuring compliance with legal restrictions on tobacco sales. The project employs a combination of Java for Android development, Flask for backend API integration, Firebase for real-time database management, and NodeMCU for managing RFID tags and readers.
