Use Case: Normal Parking Scenario

  • Actor: Vehicle Owner
  • Trigger: Vehicle arrives at the parking facility

Flow:

  1. Vehicle is detected by the system’s real-time video monitoring.
  2. System captures a frame and uses OCR to extract the number plate.
  3. The system validates the vehicle’s parking eligibility:
  • If the vehicle has a valid parking pass:
  • System logs the entry time and location in the database.
  • If the vehicle does not have a valid pass:
  • System prompts the Parking Attendant to issue a ticket.
  1. Vehicle Owner can opt to pay for parking at a kiosk or use the mobile app to complete the payment.
  2. Parking transaction is successfully logged and receipt is generated.

Post-Condition:

  • Vehicle is either successfully logged with a valid entry or a parking ticket is issued.
